Catholic United Financial Raffle Ticket Fundraiser - Last year this raffle raised over $24,000 for I.C. School. It is one of our major fundraisers and we have been chosen to participate again this year. Tickets are $5.00. Tickets will be available after mass at the SCRIP table until February 19th, in addition to school families selling them. We appreciate your support!
Holy Name Boy Scout Troop 209 Updates: Holy Name Church is the Charter Partner for Boy Scout Troop 209. Currently there are 36 scouts in the troop and 23 adult leaders. The Scouts have been busy this last year, moving up 44 ranks and earning 153 merit badges. We currently have 16 Life Scouts. We look forward to several of them advancing to the rank of Eagle Scout this year as 2012 marks the 100th anniversary of the Eagle Scout rank. Our newest Eagles are Zachary Aman, Kellen Butts and Brandon Antoine.
We are a very active troop. Since August 2011, the troop has participated in the NRS Youthfest, Fall Camporee at the Watertown Airport where the aviation merit badge was offered, popcorn sales, Scouting for Food, Boy Scout bowling tournament in Clark, lodge camping at Camp Iyataka at Big Stone Lake, served the Watertown Banquet and attended the Klondike Derby at Waubay National Wildlife Refuge.

COOKBOOKS FOR SALE: The Watertown Catholic Community cookbooks are for sale for $15. This cookbook is full of great recipes! They can be purchased after mass on the weekends or at the Parish Office during the week.
Adult Choir Practices are held at 6:30 p.m. on Mondays. New voices welcome, participation always appreciated! Shalom, the contemporary choir at Holy Name, rehearsals on Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m. in the church. We sing for mass once or twice per month. Individuals (grade 8 through adult) with intermediate (some music reading ability/experience) musical talent are invited to join us. Instrumentalists are welcome and needed; especially a keyboardist/organist and guitarist. We have occasional need for string, brass and percussion. THE HOLY NAME FAMILY CIRCLE is searching for volunteers to help serve at Parish Socials following the Saturday, 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, 10:30 a.m. masses. Couples, families, or singles are welcome to help. Socials are only scheduled one weekend per month and are not held during the months that we have Parish Breakfasts. Please call Rita Brownlee at 881-4733 if you have questions or would be willing to volunteer. It's a great way to meet people in the parish!
LITURGICAL MINISTERS: It is very much appreciated that Liturgical Ministers check in at the Sacristan counter, even if you aren't scheduled for that mass, to offer to fill in for a volunteer spot or for a ministry needed to be filled at the last minute!
The St. Francis Choir, comprised of members from the Catholic parishes in our area, is looking for more voices to join them in their ministry of providing musical entertainment to nursing homes and assisted living centers. If you are interested in joining, please call Ed DeVries at 886-8072.
Mother Theresa Rosary makers are requesting donations to help with their ministry. They need to purchase supplies and also cover postage costs. The Mother Theresa Rosary Group has been making rosaries for 12 years. All rosaries are sent to the missions and to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. There is no charge for them or for the postage. Please contact Edna Cordell at 886-9328 if you would like to make a donation.

MEALS ON WHEELS: Our parish delivers meals to people who are homebound. Volunteers are needed to deliver for a week or only the days you are available. Our church is asked to deliver about 6 times a year, which is every 10 weeks. It takes about 1 hour. You report to the 55-Plus Center at 11:00 a.m. and they give good directions for your route. It can be done as couples or single and you will receive a reminder call every time your week comes around. If you are interested in helping, please call Rita Moes at 886-5926 and she can answer any questions you may have.
HOSPITAL EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS NEEDED: Hospital Eucharistic Ministers from both parishes are needed. Position involves a one-week commitment to bring communion to in-patients at Prairie Lakes Hospital. You would be scheduled a few times per year. Visits are done at your convenience, and training will be provided. Perhaps you and a friend or neighbor would like to job-share a week. If interested, please call Judy Syring at 886-9503.
The small white envelopes for donations toward the Debt Reduction of the Parish Center are now available in a basket on the reading table. These have not been going out with the monthly mailings the past several months. Continued support of this debt reduction is greatly appreciated!

SCHOOL keeps a container on the reading table in the gathering area here at Holy Name for your contributions of the following: Box Tops for Education (now on NEW items), Kemps and Land O Lakes plastic milk and juice caps with 5 cent sticker, UPC codes from "Our Family" brand items barcodes starting with #70253, UPC codes from Campbell's brand items & soups, ink and toner cartridges from any brand/style printer/copy machine, My Coke Rewards bottle caps & codes from 12 & 24 packs, Office Max receipts, and Pizza Ranch wagon logos off the flap of the "to-go" pizza and chicken boxes. These items help in purchasing equipment for the school.

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: The Watertown Benedictines will be devoting their prayers for Vocations and for the entire Watertown Community. Please join them in prayer, Noon - 4:45 p.m., Mother of God Monastery Chapel, the last Sunday of every month.
